WTMSA and our
parent associations are insured against liability suits that may be
brought by injured players. In addition, North Texas offers secondary
medical insurance to players who may be injured during sanctioned play. (Note:
The City of Lubbock requires that WTMSA carry such insurance in order to
use the fields at Berl Huffman.) |

Besides the insurance benefits
(for both the league and its players), our affiliation with North Texas affords us a governance
structure beyond our own qualified referees who are accountable
to someone outside the league.
The team fee may fluctuate slightly from season to season ($500 for Fall
& Spring, $400 for Summer) and is used to pay referees and to meet costs associated with playing
games.
Referee Costs
Referee: $40
Assistant #1: $20
Assistant #2: $20
Total: $80 per game
Any team fee monies collected
beyond what is paid to referees is
used to pay make-up game referee fees and to meets the costs of light usage, nets, corner flags, etc.
The spending (or saving) of this portion of the team fees will be reviewed following
each season, and the charge will be increased or decreased, as necessary.
